About Ade Belcham

Ade is an enthusiastic sea kayaker, part time climber and terrible guitarist. As well as teaching yoga he is a qualified practitioner of both the Rolf Method of Structural Integration and Biodynamic Cranio-Sacral Therapy.  More about his bodywork practice in Brighton and Henfield is available at    ade and rainbow

Ade started a daily yoga practice in 1999 and was introduced to Ashtanga yoga in 2000 at one of Danny Paradise's workshops in Oxford. It was a humbling experience that was at once a complete revelation and inspiration. He began his ashtanga practice with John and Lucy Scott in Cornwall.  Then in 2004 he became a long term student of Nancy Gilgoff, with whom he has spent extended periods over the intervening years.  He holds the British Wheel of Yoga Teaching Diploma, and is a Senior Yoga Teacher registered with the Yoga Alliance UK and the Independent Yoga Network.  He has been sharing yoga with others since late 2003.

Between 2010 and 2013 he studied Sattipathana (the way of mindfulness) with Sonia Moriceau, an experience that continues to shape his practice, teaching and life (but unfortunately does not seem to have helped the guitar playing).

"It is with humility that I offer assistance and guidance to those interested in learning or deepening their practice of the Primary and Intermediate Series of Ashtanga yoga. I aim to be faithful to the tradition of yoga and to my own teachers but also to bring compassion and my own understanding to each class.

In yoga."
